Mobility as a Service —
Škoda faced the challenge of transitioning from a product-centric to a service-oriented company. My role at Škoda's Innovation Studio involved leading this shift, moving away from traditional car sales to offering mobility as a service, aligning with the evolving market dynamics.
THE ASK
Tasked with transforming Škoda from a traditional car sales company to a provider of mobility services.
THE OUTCOME
We redesigned Skoda's e-commerce platforms. Also launched a pilot programme in Poland that enabled car sharing and peer-to-peer car sharing.
MY ROLE & IMPACT
As the Design Lead at Škoda’s Innovation Studio, I led a multifaceted team to redefine Škoda’s business model. We adopted a prototype-driven approach to prioritize features, fostering a creative work environment that re-energized the team and accelerated the client's pace. Our collaborative efforts culminated in a pilot launch in Poland, marking a key milestone in Škoda's transformation journey.
RESEARCH & CONCEPTING
We conducted quantitative analysis to assess the appeal of various concepts across six markets, anchoring our strategy in a data-driven design framework. This process included leveraging analytical insights to guide our decisions. To further refine these concepts, we engaged users through rapid prototyping and qualitative interviews, ensuring our ideas resonated effectively with their needs and preferences.
THE PRODUCT
In the Škoda Innovation Lab, we redesigned the brand’s look and feel on all digital channels and launched a car sharing service in the Polish market. We included Škoda sales and marketing teams in the sprint process and created a extensive collaboration between the design team and Škoda team.
