Streamline the everyday bank —

Isbank is the largest bank in Turkey with 1400 operating branches. Fjord was tasked to redesign their Intranet to engage employees and improve the employee experience . I was the design and engagement lead for Isbank and convinced them to follow a different path.
 

THE ASK

The ask was to redesign Isbank's Intranet to boost employee engagement, motivation, and efficiency.

THE OUTCOME

Developed the Isbank Digital Workplace, a responsive platform tailored to employee roles and needs. This transformation significantly streamlined workflows, improving operational efficiency and enhancing employee communication and collaboration, leading to better customer service.

MY ROLE & IMPACT

As the Design & Engagement Lead, I led the digital transformation, managing three diverse teams. My strategic direction and insights were instrumental in convincing Isbank to overhaul their workflow system. My leadership in research and conceptualization phases played a crucial role in designing a comprehensive tool that managed all daily tasks across various employee profiles, significantly influencing the project's success.

RESEARCH

In our research, we  uncovered that Isbank employees routinely engaged with over 10 different platforms daily.

This discovery led us to conduct a thorough task analysis, meticulously tracking time spent on each platform. we established a data-driven framework to evaluate the effectiveness of our final product, ensuring it was precisely tailored to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency.

CONCEPTING

We pinpointed distinct user mindsets and operational environments such as branches, back offices, and headquarters, tailoring workflows to suit each specific context. This led to the creation of a well-defined hierarchy of needs, guiding us in prioritizing key features for early development. In the concepting phase, we tested these prioritized features, ensuring they aligned with user stories and strategic objectives.

THE PRODUCT

In 8 weeks we developed the MVP's functional flows and established a comprehensive visual design system. This effort culminated in the creation of a versatile tool adept at managing the daily tasks of various user profiles, streamlining operations across the board.
